Account & Subscription
Manage your profile, subscription plan, and billing details.
Profile Information
Update your name and email address from Settings → Account. Your profile picture is a coloured avatar showing your initials—there is no photo to upload. Changes to your email address require verification through a confirmation link sent to the new address.
Communication Preferences
Under Settings → Account you can manage your Communication Preferences—whether you opt in to product news, marketing, and research invitations. These are separate from your alert settings, which live in the top-level Notifications section.
Plans
Cadence offers four plans:
- Cadence— Full access to all budgeting, net worth, goals, and insight features with manual account entry. No bank syncing.
- Cadence+— Everything in Cadence, plus automatic syncing for up to 3 banks.
- Premium— Everything in Cadence+, with unlimited bank syncing and priority support.
- Cadence Lifetime— A one-time purchase for permanent access, rather than a recurring subscription.
All plans include the same core features. The main difference is the number of synced bank connections, which rely on a third-party API.
Free Trial
Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial that includes full access to all features. A payment method is required up front to begin the trial, but you won’t be charged until it ends—cancel any time before then to avoid being billed.
Managing Your Subscription
Go to Settings → Account and tap “Manage Subscription.” This opens the secure Stripe billing portal, where you can change your plan, cancel, update your payment method, and view past invoices—all in one place.
When upgrading, you’ll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period. When downgrading, the change takes effect at your next renewal date so you keep your current features until then.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel, open “Manage Subscription” from Settings → Account and cancel from the billing portal. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You can resubscribe at any time to pick up where you left off—your data is preserved.
Deleting Your Account
To delete your account, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account. Deletion is a 30-day soft delete: your data is scheduled for removal but held during a restore window, so you can sign back in and reactivate your account if you change your mind. After the window passes, your financial data, preferences, and history are permanently removed.
If you have an active subscription that’s still billing, you’ll need to cancel it first before your account can be deleted.
