Dashboard

The Home screen: one chart, then whichever widgets you decided to keep.

Updated

The Chart at the Top

One chart occupies the top of the dashboard, showing either your Net Worth or your Spending Trends. To swap between them, tap the swap arrows under the figure in the chart header - tapping anywhere in the header does the same thing.

Your choice sticks per device, so the dashboard reopens on whichever you last looked at. The row of range buttons beneath changes when you swap, because the two charts offer different ranges. Tap a point on either chart to read the exact value for that date.

The chart is not a widget. You can decide which of the two shows by default, but you cannot hide it or move it down the page. More on the ranges in Chart & Graph Modes.

The Widgets

Below the chart, each widget is a summary of one part of your finances, and tapping into one takes you to the section behind it:

  • Recent Activity - your latest transactions across every account, with a View Activity link into the all-activity list.
  • Upcoming Activity - bills and expected income coming up, on a two-week strip.
  • Monthly Budgets - how each budget is pacing this month.
  • Annual Budgets - year-to-date progress on the annual ones.
  • Goals - progress towards your targets. Completed goals drop off it.
  • Insights and Suggestions - observations and recommended changes.
  • Favourite Holdings and Favourite Net Worth - whatever you have starred.

The Two That Come and Go

Two widgets are not in the customiser and appear on their own only when there is something to act on:

  • Needs Review - transactions still waiting on a decision from you. Each row says which: missing a budget, missing a category, or a refund not yet linked to an expense.
  • Reconnect Banks - a linked institution that has stopped syncing and needs you to sign in again. See Troubleshooting Connections.

Both hide themselves once the list is clear, so an empty dashboard section is the good outcome rather than a missing feature.

Making It Yours

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard and tap Customise.
  2. Toggle any widget on or off.
  3. Drag a row by its handle to reorder it.
  4. Tap Save. Reset discards your edits instead.

Hiding a widget never deletes anything, and your order carries across every device you sign in on. Full detail in Dashboard Widgets.

Tip

A new account shows a default arrangement rather than a blank page. If a widget looks empty, it usually means that part of Cadence has nothing in it yet - add a budget or a goal and the widget fills in.
