Account

Your name, email, timezone, avatar, plan and account status, plus Manage Subscription and your Communication Preferences. Sign Out is at the bottom.

Communication Preferences are about product news, marketing and research invitations. They are separate from your alert settings, which live under Notifications. See Account & Subscription.

Connected Banks

Add, refresh, reconnect and disconnect linked institutions, plus a Bank Status card that reports outages at your banks - which is how you tell a bank-side problem from a connection problem. See Synced Accounts.

Appearance

Two cards. Theme Settings chooses Light, Dark or System. User Interface holds seven display toggles:

  • Rounding amounts to the nearest dollar.
  • Showing insight cards.
  • Showing suggestion cards.
  • Progress percentages.
  • Income percentages.
  • Gain/loss percentages.
  • Per-widget shortcuts on the dashboard.

The insight and suggestion switches are here, not under Insights

They are app-wide display switches, so they sit with the other display toggles. People reliably look for them under Insights or Suggestions first. Those two sections control which insights and suggestions exist; Appearance controls whether the cards are shown at all.

Currencies

Set your primary currency and the list you are allowed to record items in. Everything across the app displays in your primary currency. See Multi-Currency for how conversion works.

Suggestions and Insights

Suggestions controls which suggestions Cadence offers, plus a Transaction Behaviour card governing name suggestions and smart categories. It is also where you clear what Cadence has learned about your merchants and start over. See Smart Features.

Insights chooses which kinds of insight are generated and personalises how they are written. See Insights & Reports.

Security

One Password & Authentication card: change your password, set up an authenticator app, manage passkeys, and turn on biometric unlock where your device supports it. Step by step in Security.

Data & Privacy

Recently Deleted, Review Duplicates, Data Maintenance, and Data Management - the last of which holds your CSV export and Delete Account. See Privacy & Data Management.

Two Things That Are Not in Settings

  • Privacy Mode is the eye button in the app header, so it is one tap from anywhere rather than four. See Privacy Mode.
  • The feature tour is in the profile menu, next to Settings itself.
